Course content
Lecture Topics: 1. consultations: Functional system of orientation, testing, functional system of attention, examination. Neglect syndrome, testing. Memory disorders, memory testing. Praxis disorders, examination. Executive functions, disorders. Brain injury: disorders of brain function. Seminar Topics: 1. consultation: The selection of suitable tests for a specific case study. Examination of a patient after brain injury, proposing methods for concentration and attention training. 2. consultation: Training of damaged neuropsychologic abilities. Computers for training brain function and ability, creating free time activities. Self-Study: Other examination methods in neurology. Neuroprogramming Methodology of brain training.

Learning outcomes
The subject directly follows occupational therapy area in neurology, psychology and psychiatry. It shows the therapy possibilities for cognitive disorders for various types of disability. Students get familiar with testing and therapeutic methods which are applied for concentration and attention disorders as well as disorders of logical thinking.
Subject Knowledge: Students can define cognitive functions. They can describe examination procedures. Professional Skills: Based on the basic examination of cognitive functions the student is able to set a plan for improving damaged abilities.
