Course content
Seminar Topics: 1. consultation: Types of psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic relationship and psychotherapeutic process. Methods and techniques of psychotherapy. Group psychotherapy. Individual psychotherapy. Psychotherapy within the context of rehabilitation. Self-Study: Directions in psychotherapy. Psychotherapy in the Czech Republic. Psychotherapy of somatically-disordered people and individuals with health disability. Personality of a therapist.

Learning outcomes
The subject familiarizes students with basic psychotherapeutic types. It aims at individual and group psychotherapy. The aim is to understand the meaning of psychotherapy for improving life quality of people and to make students familiar with psychological means in treatment and rehabilitation according to a target group. Student will learn the ways how to create, maintain and finish the relationship between a therapist and a client.
Subject Knowledge: After completing the course students can explain individual psychotherapeutic approaches: goals, techniques, possibilities of interventions. Professional Skills: Students can choose individual or group therapy to improve the functioning of their patient / client. They can create a bound based on trust between a therapist, a patient and a client taking into consideration his personality, diagnosis, social status and a family situation.
