Course content
Seminar Topics: 1. The types of psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic relationship and psychotherapeutic process. 2. Psychotherapy goals. 3. Personality of a therapist. Psychotherapeutic relationship. 4. Current directions in psychotherapy and the relation of psychotherapy to a somatic treatment. 5. Methods and techniques of psychotherapy. 6. Group psychotherapy. 7. Individual psychotherapy. 8. Community psychotherapy. 9. Psychotherapy of somatically ill people and individuals with health disability. 10. Psychotherapy within the context of rehabilitation.

Learning outcomes
The subject familiarizes students with basic psychotherapeutic types. It aims at individual and group psychotherapy. The aim is to understand the meaning of psychotherapy for improving life quality of people and to make students familiar with psychological means in treatment and rehabilitation according to a target group. Student will learn the ways how to create, maintain and end the relationship between a therapist and a client.
Subject knowledge: Students can explain individual psychotherapeutic approaches and goals, techniques, the possibilities of interventions. Professional Skills: Student can choose individual or group therapy to improve the functioning of his patient / client. He can create a bound based on the trust between a therapist, a patient and a client regarding his personality, diagnosis, social status and a family situation.
