Course content
Lecture Topics: 1. consultation: General psychiatry: possibilities of the diagnostics, possibility of therapy. Personality disorder: overview, mental anorexia and bulimia: the difference. Neurotic disorders: classification, case study, reaction to stress. 2. consultation: Affective disorders: depressions, bipolar affective disorders, case study, diagnostic criteria. Schizophrenia groups: classification, diagnostic criteria. Organic mental disorders: secondary, primary, dementia, delirium. Self-Study: Acute states and legal aspects in psychiatry. Specifics of mental disorders among children and adolescents, children's autism

Learning outcomes
The subject is structured as theoretical. It familiarizes students with general psychiatry and possibilities of diagnostics and therapy. It makes students aware of legal aspects connected with mental disorders and it points out the importance of physiotherapy as part of treatment of mental disorders.
Subject Knowledge: Students can detect clinic manifestation of mental disorders and respect specifics of mental disorders in old age and child's age. The student can describe basic diagnostic methods in psychiatry and name therapeutical possibilities in psychiatry. Professional skills: Students can take into consideration legal aspects related to mental disorders and justify the importance of physiotherapy as part of treatment of mental disorders.
