Lecture topics: 1.-2.week Pathology, its subject, methods and application at practise. Interfield relations 3.week Examples of types of necrosis and thier healing. Mortification, decubits, atrophy - its causes, examples 4.week Albumin dystrophia - amyloidosis, hyaline change of ligament. Diabetes mellitus - pathogenesis, complication. 5.week Disorders of water metabolism, minerals - calcia, calcification, crystallization, lithiasis. Examples of chromatosis exogenous - lungs coniofibrosis. Examples of endogenous (melanyn, hamaethogenous). Icterus 6.week Pathology of pericardium, myocardium, endocardium. Pathology of vesels and blood system 7. week Pathology of respiratory system 8.week Pathology of kinetic system 9.week pathology of central and peripheral nervous system Seminar topics: 1.week Diseases - definition, characteristics, process 2.week Tasks of pathology in thearpeutical preventive care 3.-5.week Section, types of section, meanings of section, imposition while covering the section 6.-7.week Biopsy, characteristics, meaning, the way of consumpting the tissues 8.-9.week destructionof organism - principles of death, causes of death, clinical death

Learning outcomes
The subject is a part of basic theoretical subjects. It is a follow-up to the knowledge of anatomy and physiology. It acquaints students with disturbances of a function of cells, tissues and organ systems, disturbances of inner metabolism, disturbances of immunity and organism as a whole.
Students are introduced to functional disorders of cells, of tissues, of organ systems, with disrorders of internal metabolism, with disorders of immunity and organism as a complex.
