Topics of lectures: (every 2 hours) 1. Introduction. The disease and its causes. Death and postmortem changes. 2. Regressive changes and metabolic changes. 3. Inflammation. Progressive changes. 4. Basics of oncopathology. 5. Pathology and pathophysiology of the cardiovascular system. 6. Pathology and pathophysiology of the digestive system. 7. Pathology and pathophysiology of the endocrine system. 8. Pathology and pathophysiology of the peripheral and central nervous system I. 9. Pathology and pathophysiology of the musculoskeletal system I. Seminar topics: 1. Disorders of blood and sap circulation. 2. Shock. 3. Pathology and pathophysiology of the urinary tract. 4. Pathology and pathophysiology of the respiratory system. 5. Pathology and pathophysiology of the female and male genital system and breast. 6. Pathology and pathophysiology of the skin. 7. Pathology and pathophysiology of blood. 8. Pathology and pathophysiology of the peripheral and central nervous system II. 9. Pathology and pathophysiology of the musculoskeletal system II.

Learning outcomes
|
The course is conceived as theoretical. After completing the course, students will gain an overview of the causes of diseases, regressive and metabolic changes and cancer diseases. Students will also get an overview of the methods of processing materials intended for histological examination, diagnostic methods used in routine practice, including special methods used in the field (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, electron microscopy, molecular biological methods).
Expertise: Students master basic medical terminology, can define pathophysiology of individual diseases. Professional skills: The student understands the terminology and understands the basic pathophysiological mechanisms. He understands the complex position of pathology in the healing prevention process. General competences: The student has a basic overview of general pathology and pathology of basic organ systems. Competences: The student is able to orientate in the given issue and is able to apply theoretical knowledge in other subjects and in practice.
