Course content |
1. - 2. week: Guided practical activities in selected settings according to the programme and academic agenda. Understanding work activities at the workplace and working roles of the members of a multidisciplinary team. Application of communication principles when dealing with a patient / service user in medical or social institution. Anamnesis collecting, training of ADL implementation among individual clients, individual and group occupational therapy. 3 weeks: Taking the history, ADL implementation training with individual clients, individual and group occupational therapy. Proposing the plan of an occupational therapy intervention for a selected patient/service user.

The subject follows the conceptions provided during continuous professional training 1. It is taught at professional workplaces of medical institutions including specialized institutions. It guides students towards the independent work at a professional level. The goal of the subject is that students gain knowledge of applied occupational therapy procedures in basic indicative areas as well as to gain knowledge of principles of medical procedures when following complex occupational therapy programs.
Subject Knowledge: The student deepens his knowledge and practical skills gained in a study program. He learns to respect and accept the unusualness of some clients and to follow the code of ethics of an occupational therapist. Professional Skills: The student can specify individual indication areas, state and describe the diagnosis of individual indication areas. He can actively apply occupational therapy concepts and procedures. |
