Course content
|
Lecture Topics: 1. consultation: Movement control, pain theory, the principle of functional malfunctions of the motoric system. Techniques of soft tissues (skin examination and treatment, subcutaneous layer, fascials), ball therapy. Disbalance of muscles, basic strings of functional malfunctions. Post-izometric muscle relaxation, anti-gravitational muscle therapy. Examination and mobilization of the joints in UL, LL. Examination of functional joint blockades C, Th and L spine, pelvis and ribs. 2. consultation: Development kinesiology, DNS concept according to Kolář: the principle of examination and therapy. Examination principles and therapy methods: Vojta's reflex locomotion, Bobath's concept, Kenny's therapy, PNF, therapy according to Mojžíšová, Brügger's concept, sensomotorics, McKenzie's concept, Brunkow's method. Seminar Topics: 1. consultation: examination and mobilization of peripheral joints of LL, UL, pelvis, ribs, spine and soft tissues. 2. consultation: examination and therapy based on above-mentioned psychotherapeutic methods. Self-Study: Back training, the methods of respiration physiotherapy, Feldenkrais's method, and functional tests of self-sufficiency.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject offers further knowledge development based on specialized subjects in physiotherapy area and it provides the knowledge of modern methods in motoric therapy. Students study these methods in theoretically-practical form and use them in practice. The aim is to get theoretical background as well as practical skills training which is the important part of psychotherapeutic procedures.
Subject Knowledge: Student can explain examination and therapy rules and procedures of the above- mentioned psychotherapeutic methods and explain their application. Subject Skills: Student can perform examination and mobilization of peripheral joints of UL, LL, pelvis, ribs, spine and soft tissues and select a correct method in clinical practice.
