SeminarTopics: 1. Latin in medical terminology, introduction to the language, pronunciation. 2. Substantives I. - V. declination, identifying the substantives of Greek origin. 3. Prepositions. 4. Present tense and its verb system I. - IV. conjugation. 5. Adjectives I. - III. Declination. 6. Declination of adjectives. 7. Numbers - cardinal, ordinal. 8. Pronouns. 9. Latin prefixes, suffixes, compounds. 10. Greek prefixes, suffixes, compounds. 11. Revision.

Learning outcomes
The subject has an irreplaceable role in professional education. Students can learn the basics of Latin grammar, basic vocabulary of the subject; they will know how to work with a professional dictionary. The course material is suitably supplied with professional texts focused on individual subjects of the study. The goal is to study basic Latin grammar and gain basic vocabulary.
Subject Knowledge: The student can use basic Latin grammar and work with a professional dictionary. Professional Skills: The student can use vocabulary including practical application of medical terminology.
