Course content
Seminar Topics: 1. Introduction to communication issues. 2. Verbal communication and its difficulties. 3. Nonverbal communication. 4. Principles of healthy communication and mistakes when communicating. Active listening and ability to ask questions. 5. Dialogue management. Conflict and possible ways of solving it. 6. Possibilities of non-verbal communication with individuals with sensory disability. 7. Communication principles with people with health disability and seniors.

Learning outcomes
The goal of the subject is to familiarize the students with the issues of communication and develop their communication skills. The subject is focused on different types of communication, effectiveness of communication networks and assertiveness in communication. It aims at communication issues of people with health disability and the elderly.
Subject Knowledge: Student can define terms related to the areas of verbal and nonverbal communication. They know communication principles when dealing with people with health disability and the elderly. Professional Skills: Students can use gained knowledge when communicating with patients with health disability and seniors.
