The subject provides basic information about yoga methods and their application for healthy people and possibilities of applying them for patients with the disability of movement apparatus, with nerve diseases, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders and others. The goal is to understand the meaning of basic exercises in order to use them in occupational therapy and learn individual yoga methods and discover moral principles in yoga.
Subject Knowledge: Student can describe meaning and contribution of yoga for a healthy person and can understand the benefit and sense of yoga for the clients with different types of disability or a certain disease. Professional Skills: Based on the gained knowledge the student can demonstrate and teach preparatory exercises, exercise sets and exercises, basic asanas and other yoga techniques (relaxation, concentration).
