Learning outcomes
|
The subject provides basic information about yoga methods and their use by healthy people and possibilities of applying them to patients with the disability of movement apparatus, with nerve diseases, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders and others. The goal is to understand the meaning of basic exercises when using them in occupational therapy and learn some yoga methods, understand moral yoga principles.
Subject Knowledge: Students can describe meaning and contribution of yoga for a healthy person and can evaluate the purpose and sense of yoga for clients with different types of disability or a certain disease. Professional Skills: Applying the gained knowledge the student can demonstrate and teach preparatory exercises, exercise sets and exercises, basic asanas and other yoga techniques (relaxation, concentration).
