Course content
Seminar topics 1. Ergotherapeutic examination (types and purpose of the examination), Ergodiagnosis x Ergotesting 2. Ergotherapy for soft tissue injuries in the upper limb (injuries of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, burns) 3. Ergotherapy after fractures in the upper extremities 4. Ergotherapy after fractures in the lower extremities 5. Complications of Fracture Treatment (Volkmann's Ischemic Contrast and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) 6. Ergotherapy after amputation and after surgery in the area of the upper limb 7. Ergotherapy after amputation and after surgery in the lower limb area 8. Early amputation rehabilitation - practical demonstration of stiffening and stubbing, Stress pressure trauma massage. 9. Tracking of casualties of hand traumatized patients - demonstration of short-term ergotherapy plan, possibilities of ergotherapy after traumatic head injury (TBI), acute, subacute and chronic phase.

Learning outcomes
The subject is treated as the basic one for the study program. The student provide client's examination, apply occupational therapy techniques at traumatology and surgery department. The student can create a therapy plan for individual disabilities where the emphasis is put on function optimazation and reaching independence in home environment and returning to professional life. He is able to put gained theoretical knowledge into practice in the area of surgery and traumatology.
Subject Knowledge: The student can name suitable occupational therapy procedures in the area of traumatology and surgery. Professional Skills: Considering the examination of a patient the student can apply suitable occupational therapy methods.
