Lecture Topics: 1. consultation: The system of occupational diagnostic assessment of the patient by a rehabilitation team. Model activities and other occupational diagnostic tests and their perspective application. 2. consultation: Term-work rehabilitation, legislative basics, the possibility of employment according to the type of disability. Supported employment, sheltered workshops, Abilympics. Relation to occupational therapy. Self-Study: Internet study of projects focused on employing people with health disability. Work in sheltered workshops. Finding predispositions for work integration through a job centre.

The subject is structured as theoretically-practical and follows occupational therapy area. It presents a program of occupational diagnostic assessment with the aim to determine preconditions for the work integration. It describes the system of work rehabilitation coordinated by job centres and possibilities of getting a job at sheltered workshops or within the frame of supported employment.
Subject Knowledge: Students know basics of occupational diagnostics and relevant tests. They are familiar with work rehabilitation, different types of architectonic barriers and placing clients to sheltered workshops. Professional skills: Students can use occupational diagnostic tests and based on the results they can state occupational therapeutic procedures which allow the return of clients to work life. They are able to apply their knowledge to practical training, overcoming and removing architectonic barriers. They cooperate with clients in sheltered workshops. |
