Course content
Lecture Topics: 1st consultation: Ergotherapeutic documentation, functional tests, ergometric examination, ICHS-ERG. Osteoarthritis, Morbus Bechtěrev-ergoterapeutické prostředky. Rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis - physical symptoms, mental consequences and functioning. Principles and possibilities of contemporary ergotherapy. 2nd consultation: Introduction to the subject. Occupational therapy in psychiatry - its possibilities, goals, interventions. Occupational therapy in patients with extramural and intramural care. Psychiatric rehabilitation. 3rd Consultation: The use of ergotherapy in the area of clinical-geriatric station, clinic. Occupational Therapy in Homes for the Elderly - Occupational Therapist Work. Occupational therapy in gerontopsychiatry-affecting the course of the disease. Problems of age depression, organically conditioned age psychosis, Alzheimer's disease-therapeutic goals, therapeutic methods. Exercise Topics: 1st consultation: Work in the group - analyzes of case reports of patients with diagnosis in the area of internal and rheumatology - history, ergotherapeutic examination, proposal of short-term ergotherapy plan and ergotherapeutic intervention according to diagnoses. 2nd consultation: Participation in ergometric examination Adaptation of work place to diagnosis 3rd Consultation: Work in the group - analyzes of case reports of patients with psychiatric diagnosis - anamnesis, ergotherapeutic examination, proposal of short-term ergotherapeutic plan and ergotherapeutic intervention according to diagnoses. Working with an aggressive patient. Self-study: Occupational counseling. Overview and use of tests in ergotherapy. Occupational therapy according to the service provider (ergotherapy in the hospital, medical and rehabilitation institution, children's home and special school, kindergarten). Targeted activities in occupational therapy.

Learning outcomes
The subject is a basic subject of the field. It is conceived as a theoretical and practical follow-up to the subject of Theory of Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry and Internal Medicine and geriatrics. Students acquire knowledge and skills in the field of client examination, practical skills and experience in applying ergotherapy techniques in geriatrics, internally, in rheumatology and psychiatry. The student is able to suggest a therapy plan for individual disabilities, emphasis is placed on optimizing function and achieving independence. The student is able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice. Students will also get acquainted with the possibilities of ergotherapy in the prevention of some civilization diseases. Students will gain knowledge about the use of ergotherapy in seniors. Emphasis is placed on solving the mental and social situation of seniors. Possibilities of ergotherapy in general aging are presented.
Expertise: Students will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills enabling application of appropriate therapeutic procedures in the areas of internal medicine, rheumatology and geriatrics. The student is able to apply appropriate therapeutic procedures and methods based on diagnostics in the given clinical area. Professional skills: The student can use basic ergotherapeutic procedures in selected clinical disciplines. Competences: The student is able to practically use ergotherapeutic techniques and methods and concepts in selected clinical disciplines.

credit: elaboration of written material according to the teacher's assignment - analysis of patient case reports from given indication areas. Exam: in the form of oral examinations according to the assignments given by the teacher.
