Course content
Lecture topics: 1st consultation: Ergotherapy in geriatrics and gerontopsychiatry - introduction to the subject. 2nd consultation: Ergotherapy for sensory defects - Introduction to the subject. Ergotherapy in pediatrics - Introduction to the subject. Seminar topics: 1st consultation: Group work - Casuistry analyzes, therapy suggestions based on diagnosis. 2nd consultation: casuistic analyzes, therapy proposals according to diagnosis Self-Study: Arthrosis, Morbus Bechterew-occupational therapy means, revmatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis: body symptoms, mental and function consequences, the issues of Parkinson's disease, mature age depression, organically created senile psychosis, Alzheimer's disease, CP, chronical children's diseases, family and disabled children. Tyfloservis, compensational aids for individuals with visual and hearing impairment, socialization of individuals with sensory disability.

Learning outcomes
The subject is a basic field subject. It is structured as theoretically-practical and follows the lectures about the theory of occupational therapy. The subject aims at the issues of occupational therapy in geriatrics, pediatrics and at individuals with sensory disability. Students will gain knowledge about how to use occupationl therapy in these areas and know about possible activities deliberately chosen focusing on physical and mental aspects. The fact which is emphasized is the complexity of the treatement and cooperation with the family.
Subject Knowledge: Students will gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills that will allow them to apply suitable therapeutic procedures in the area of sensory disorders, paediatrics and psychiatry. Professional Skills: Based on the diagnostics in given clinic area students are able to apply suitable therapeutic procedures and methods.
