Learning outcomes
The course is concipated as theoretical and practical. Its aim is to provide students with information concerning the use of activation activities in the therapy of geriatric clients, especially in the area of cognitive deficit using alternative methods of rehabilitation.
Expertise: Students control the ways of identifying suitable activation activities with regard to the diagnosis of clients. Students will learn about the focus of activation activities according to individual areas, principles of working with geriatric clients and appropriately used compensation aids. They can practically test the theoretical foundations in crowded facilities. Professional skills: The students are able to evaluate the current state of the client and select the activation activity appropriately. They are also able to adequately use compensation aids for clients. General eligibility: The student is able to practically use knowledge of activation activities with regard to geriatric clients in ergotherapeutic practice, and is able to make independent and responsible decisions in only partially known contexts on the basis of a framework assignment.
