Course content
Lecture Topics: 1. consultation: Introduction to the subject, the main principle of the human body, the overview of tissues, organs of the locomotive apparatus (a bone, a joint, a muscle). Functional anatomy of upper and lower limb. 2. consultation: Axial organ, vertebra, locomotive spine segment, the spine as a system. Spine joints, chest joints 3. consultation: The structure of spinal (peripheral) nerve as a basis for creating a nerve network and ANS (Autonomic Nervous System). The structure of spinal cord, grey and white substance, the Rexed laminae, motoric and sensitive ways. Brainstem, craniales. 4. consultation: The overview of organ systems and their relation to movement apparatus. General structure of digestive track, the structure overview of organs of digestive system. Seminar Topics: 1. Basic anatomical concepts, planes, directions 2. - 4. Palpation and topographic anatomy of the upper limb, incl. knits (bones, muscles, nerves) 5. - 7. Palpation and topographic anatomy of the lower limb, incl. pelvis (bones, muscles, nerves) 8. - 9. Palpation and Topographic Anatomy of the Body (Back, Chest, Neck) 10. - 11. Anatomy of CNS and peripheral NS 12. Repetition, summary Self-study: Functional anatomy of a pelvis, levels, SI joint. Scull structure, neuro- and splanchnocranium (facial skeleton), jaw joint Head muscles, neck muscles. Trunk muscles, pelvic floor, sphincters. Diencephalon, overview of hormones, telencephalon, cerebral cortex. Heart and circulatory system. The anatomy of breathing system. The structure and function of genitourinary system.

Learning outcomes
The subject creates a wide basis for professional education which is a necessary precondition for managing other professional subjects. It provides students with essential facts about clinically applied anatomy and teaches the understanding that an organism is a dynamic and adaptable unit. The goal is to make students familiar with basic anatomy terminology, to know the anatomy of organ structures and individual organ systems of the human body a well as to understand the relation of functional anatomy with other medical fields.
Subject knowledge: Students can describe the fundamental principle of a human body structure (tissues, organs, organ systems) and can describe a locomotive apparatus of a human (bones, joints, muscles), their anatomical structure, function of central and peripheral nervous system including autonomic nervous system, structure and function of organ systems, principles of connection between inner organs and movement apparatus through autonomic nervous systems. Professional Skills: Students can apply the subject knowledge when using touch for examining important bone structures as well as when examining extents of movement around all joint axes. Students can also use the subject knowledge when providing palpation examination of skeletal muscles and their insertions. The student can locate the ways of peripheral nerves including innervation areas and he knows the relations between inner organs, spine vertebra and upper and lower limbs through reflexes of autonomic nervous system. The student understands contact relations between inner organs and movement apparatus and projection of inner organs on the body surface.

Assessment methods and criteria

- 80% personal participation in seminars from anatomy, - continuous knowledge during the academic year. Insufficient knowledge means absence at this seminar, which is included in the total attendance per semester, - the credit will take the form of a written test (75% success rate). In case of unsuccessful completion of the test, the student passes the second or third credit term (1st and 2nd correction term), which take place in the form of oral examination.
