The course Organisation and Management of Healthcare Providers focuses on a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the organisation and management of healthcare facilities in the context of contemporary healthcare challenges. Students are introduced to key principles of healthcare management, the legislative framework, and standards of care quality. Emphasis is placed on the effective management of human and financial resources, capacity planning in healthcare facilities, and the implementation of innovative approaches to improving the quality and accessibility of care. The course also covers crisis management in emergency situations, strategic planning for long-term sustainability, and the resolution of ethical dilemmas associated with the provision of healthcare. Students develop skills in teamwork, communication with patients, their families, and other stakeholders, with an emphasis on an interdisciplinary approach and respect for cultural and social diversity. The course prepares students for responsible and effective management of healthcare facilities in the dynamic environment of modern healthcare.
After completing the course, the student will be able to: 1. Understand the basic principles of the organisation and management of healthcare facilities, including their legislative framework and quality standards. 2. Demonstrate knowledge of effective human resource management in healthcare, including the recruitment, leadership, and motivation of healthcare staff. 3. Plan and manage financial resources of healthcare facilities and optimise costs while maintaining the quality of care. 4. Apply tools and methods of quality management in healthcare, including performance monitoring and facility accreditation. 5. Demonstrate skills in crisis management, including the planning and implementation of measures to address emergency situations. 6. Analyse organisational processes and propose measures to improve the efficiency and sustainability of healthcare facility operations. 7. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and other stakeholders, with an emphasis on ethics and respect for cultural differences. 8. Apply strategic and innovative approaches to the development of healthcare facilities and adaptation to the challenges of modern healthcare.
