Course content
1. Book art in the changes of time. 2. Art etudes and experimentation in techniques: drypoint, line etching, soft cover, aquatint and mezzotint. 3.-4. Practical project: Graphic sheet in the technique of intaglio printing. 5. Expressive possibilities and specifics of graphic techniques of lithography and serigraphy. 6. Transformation of printing technologies - from lithography to offset and screen printing. 7. From A. Machek through H. Toulouse-Lautrec, P. Picasso, O. Kokoschka, P. Alechinsky, R. Rauschenberg, A. Warhol, Z. Sýkora after D. Hirst and others. 8. Popular culture in the context of graphic media. 9. Art etudes and experimentation in techniques: lithography and screen printing. 10.-11. Graphic sheet in the technique of lithography and serigraphy.

Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students of the specialization Graphic Design with the issues of modern graphics, while developing knowledge of the expressive possibilities and specifics of graphic techniques of printing from height, depth and surface. It acquaints practically and theoretically with the means of expression of basic graphic techniques.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
