Course content
1. Initial introductory meeting. 2. Studio painting, analysis. 3. Studio painting, analysis. 4. Studio painting, analysis. 5. Studio painting, analysis. 6. Analysis and interpretation: current tendencies in painting. 7. Exercise: geometric or lyrical abstraction, compositional analysis. 8. Studio painting: geometric, structural, gestural composition, analysis. 9. Studio painting: processual work of art, analysis. 10. Studio painting: paraphrase of a selected work, analysis. 11-13 Presentation, analysis and classification of the student's activity and their work.

Learning outcomes
Art Techniques / Painting In the semestral course, students get acquainted (both theoretically and practically) with basic painting techniques and principles of colour theory. The choice of various topics cultivates their sensitivity, the ability to analyze colour perception, and the elementary ability of conscious color combinatorics. Teaching is conducted so that students in the first third of the 21st century realize that colour relationships (harmony and disharmony; tonality and contrast) within human civilization existed long before CMYK and RGB interfaces. Students are motivated to use various painting techniques, but for conceptual and operational reasons, t of tempera and acrylic are the most frequent techniques. Part of the course is objective and non-figurative, gestural and processual painting.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
