Course content
1. Both traditional and experimental printing methods; basic definitions. 2. Organization and operation of graphic workshops, types of presses. 3. Transformation of printing technologies- from woodblock to woodcut and linocut. 4. Drawing and printing basis of graphic medium: Creative use of graphic techniques and materials in the process of author printing. 5. Graphic etudes and experimentations in techniques of woodcut, linocut, and monotype. 6.-9. Realization of a practical project: impression created by letterpress printing technique. 10. Realization of a practical project: graphic art in public space (alternative medium of a postcard, sticker, label, leaflet, etc.) 11. Systematic acquaintance with expressional media of the basic graphic technique of intaglio printing. 12.-13. Transformation of printing technologies- from gravure to polymers.

Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with the issues of modern graphics, while developing knowledge of the expressive possibilities and specifics of graphic techniques of letterpress, intaglio, and planographic printing. It acquaints students, both practically and theoretically, with expressional means of basic graphic techniques.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
