Basics of art and design work with textile materials for students of the Design program, specialization Design The aim of the course is to acquaint students through practical exercises accompanied by a theoretical explanation of textiles as art material and the technologies of its processing and the possibilities of its use. After completing the course, the student should be able to independently master the basic technological procedures in working with textiles so that he is able to use the acquired knowledge and experience in design practice. Teaching takes the form of practical exercises in workshops, during which students try out the basic technological procedures from the design and implementation of textile design to basic cutting modeling. The practical teaching is supplemented by an expanding theoretical interpretation.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
