Methods of material transfer of an object and its serial reproduction by means plaster molds for students of the Design programme with specialization in Design The aim of the course is to acquaint students with methods of material transfer of objects and their serial reproduction using plaster molds, by means of practical exercises accompanied by a theoretical explanation. After completing the course, the student should be able to independently master basic technological procedures in working with plaster, as well as the basics of creating molds for casting to utilize the acquired knowledge and experience in their designer practice. Teaching has a form of practical exercises in workshops, during which students will experience basic technological procedures from designing a mold, through work with plaster as both shaping and final material. Practical teaching is supplemented by an expansion theoretical interpretation.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
