Learning outcomes
The course Disciplinary Software I - VI is intended for students of KDE and KUU to master work with software in 3D and 2D. Students will gain the knowledge they need not only to study at university, but also for their future career. Therefore, the course is designed to meet the requirements of studio teaching with regard to requirements for the students' professional life. The aim of the courses is to acquire and master the skills necessary to control selected programs, and knowledge of the possibilities of applying data from computer modeling in practice. The course Disciplinary Software I - VI is divided into six semesters, and within them, it subsequently focuses on work with 2D software and 3D software, where programme of the individual courses is put in a mutual context. The course Disciplinary Software II is an introduction to 3D programming, which is a basic working tool for a designer, as well as for a contemporary visual artist. Through basic terms, students will learn about spatial computer modeling and subsequent application of data for machine production. They will get acquainted with terms like parametric and planar 3D modeling, curves, surfaces, grids, polygons and much more. They will learn about formats which the modeled objects are saved in, about their possible applications, and their conversions, if applicable. The courses will be conducted according to selected topics in the form of lectures and exercises.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
