Learning outcomes
The course expands on the fundamental overview of modern architectural history and focuses on a previously overlooked and little-known topic: the development of modern architecture in the northwestern Bohemian region. This evolution has been shaped by complex nationalistic perspectives, insufficiently researched archival sources, and the deteriorated state or even disappearance of many structures. The program primarily examines architectural developments in the first half of the 20th century, while also addressing the extensive, and largely negative, urban planning and construction interventions of the second half of the century.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
