Course content
1. Basic concepts and terms of curation. 2. History - curatorial approaches of the 20th century - 1st part. 3. History - curatorial approaches of the 20th century - 2nd part. 4. Curator and institutions - relationships and changes aimed at building autonomous and institutionalized platforms. 5. The role of the curator - the positional status of the curator, the syntax of curatorial projects and the moment of curatorial work as a post-production moment of cooperation. 6. Educational-interactive curatorial approach. 7. Thematic curatorial approach, Salon curatorial approach. 8. Collection institution as a means of memory. 9. High versus low art. 10. Art and its value - art market. 11. Arts, artists, audience, curator and institutions. Theoretical reflection of a work of art in a cultural-historical context and its application in its presentation in the valid legislative and legal framework of the Czech Republic. 12. Generation "K" - museum pedagogy in today's world. 13. Final colloquium.

Learning outcomes
The course is focused on the analysis of the situation in the current (alternative) gallery and museum operations. It focuses on various approaches and possibilities of art presentation, on their intentions, concepts, contexts, motivation and operational production background, including the possibilities and meaning of financing. It also focuses on the influence of these institutions on society, the community, the cultural scene and contemporary art.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
