Learning outcomes
1. Methods of measurement signals and data collection using a dedicated hardware devices and PC computers category (significance of analog circuits and digital signal processing, dynamic measurements (measurement of periodic signals and one-off events, sampling rate - Nyquist frequency, measured signal frequency band - frequency filters, sampling with a frequency lower than the Nyquist frequency). Autonomous measuring systems, distributed measurement systems, PC as a measuring and control unit - plug-in measurement boards for PCs (their structure and applications), galvanic isolation of the measured signal (isolation amplifiers with transformer, capacitive and optical coupling , converting DC signals using U / f and f / U converters), methods of ensuring linearity of transfer by insulating amplifiers, multiplexers (for processing signals from multiple input) sampling circuits (sample / hold), instrumentation amplifier with programmable gain, D / a and a / D converters (using the principles of transducers, methods of A / D conversion - converters with dual integration, successive approximation converter, parallel converter). Storing data into memory during measurement (transfer of data through a system interruptions, storing data in the buffer). 2. Operational amplifiers and their applications for analog signal processing (characteristics of an ideal operational amplifier, possible sources of interfering signals in real OZ (voltage unbalance input bias current, input current unbalance, transfer characteristics - speed transfer), basic connections with OZ (inverting amplifier, inverting amplifier, voltage follower, differential - instrumentation amplifier, differentiator amplifier integration amplifier, logarithmic amplifier), protection of OZ overload the input and output operational amplifier (exceeded limit parameter) offset input residual voltage and quiescent current OZ, grounding and shielding involvement with OZ, resistance to interference of input lines bound capacitive and inductive coupling.)
