Course content
1. Logistics, definitions, history, basic concepts and methods. 2. Logistics in the practice of manufacturing companies, benefits for manufacturing companies. 3. Logistics operations and means of their implementation. 4. Rationalization of logistics operations, pallets, handling containers, storage and means of transport. 5. Logistics of material supply, material inventory management. 6. Logistics of goods dispatch and distribution of goods, packaging, inventory management. 7. Logistics in the production process, material and information flow. 8. Reverse logistics. 9. Transport logistics and transportation. 10. Road transport. 11. Rail transport. 12. Sea and river transport. 13. Air transport.

Learning outcomes
Subject informs about flows of material in processing, organization of purchase and movement of material in fabrication process up to product expedition. Familiarize with methods and with information systems used to control stock level and with methods to make this process more effective. Aim of subject is to provide attendants with system access to solving projects connected with material flows in plant. Concurrently provide them with knowledge for usage information systems and exact methods to solve logistical problems.
