Learning outcomes
The subject of destructive testing of materials deals with a comprehensive description of methods and methods of material testing, during which destruction of the test sample occurs. The content of the course is to introduce students to the methods and methods of material testing, used to determine mechanical, chemical, physical and other properties. Part of the subject is also to acquaint students with devices used for destructive testing of materials. In addition to the methods of destructive testing of materials, the content of the course is also to familiarize students with the specifics of sample preparation for individual types of tests.
Based on knowledge and skills from the subject Destructive testing of materials, the student will be able to choose a suitable testing method in relation to a specific application in the conditions of real industrial practice. The student will be familiar with standards and regulations in the field of destructive testing of materials and will be able to interpret the results of various types of testing in a qualified manner.
