Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with the use of CATIA application as a CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) application and introduces students to its basic possibilities in this area. The aim of the course is to get acquainted with the highly used software in the automotive industry and to prepare graduates for industry in the fields of technology Course contents 1. Technological modules, introduction to machining, basic concepts. 2. 2.5 axis milling, surface alignment, prismatic roughing, pocketing, contouring, grooving, point-to-point operations and contour machining (Prismatic Machining). 3. 3-axis milling, machining of shaped and geometrically complex parts, roughing and finishing operations (Surface Machining). 4. Multi-Axis Surface Machining. 5. 2-axis turning and drilling operations for horizontal and vertical lathes, turning and finishing operations (Lathe Machining). 6. Work with machining tools and auxiliary operations (work table rotation and tool change). 7. Influence of setting CAM parameters on the quality of the machined surface. 8. Generation of outputs (NC codes, HTML document, etc.). 9. Forming, modeling of stampings (Sheet Metal Design).
