The subject of chemical metallurgy covers the whole range of issues of production and processing of liquid and solid materials based on iron and non-ferrous metals. The course is focused on chemical processes necessary in the metallurgical production chain, either in the liquid phase (production of molten metal, its refining and casting, or in the solid phase, including ecological aspects of metallurgical production. extraction of ores for the production of pig iron and other non-ferrous metals, processes such as flotation and refining of sulfur and chlorine, roasting and precipitation processes, thermal decomposition, reduction processes of oxides and halides, metallothermal reductions, including concentration smelting, magnesium and other non-ferrous metals.
