1. Introduction - defects and faults, their distribution 2. Methods used for defect analysis, distribution, principle 3. Defects of castings + proof of the presence of defects 4. Defects of castings + proof of the presence of defects - classification of defects, their specifications 5. Influence of chemical composition heterogeneity on integrity, mechanical values of cast steel 6. Individual specifications of casting defects in relation to the metallurgical process 7. Defects of formed semi-finished products 8. Aging, strain hardening, fragility and its causes 9. Defects caused by heat and chemical-thermal treatment 10. Defects during welding and surfacing, classification of defects in relation to ČSN EN ISO 6520, 5817 11. Damage to operated machine parts 12. Fatigue failure, corrosion of metallic materials, damage by wear, erosion and cavitation 13. Material expertise, evaluation of the causes of defects and failures, written reports describing defects and their causes
