1. General overview of basic production technologies based on metal processing. 2. New trends in the development of metallurgical processes. 3. Development and production of new materials. 4. Materials produced by powder metallurgy. 5. Special alloy steels - low temperature steels, boron steels, nitrogen alloy steels, etc. 6. Trends in the development of machine tools (material, geometry, cutting speeds), machine tools and the consequences of these trends on the economy, the result and the course of the machining process. 7. Composite materials - distribution, overview, production and use of composite materials. 8. Progressive technologies in foundry. 9. Progressive technologies in materials forming. 10. Progressive technologies and materials in welding. 11. Nanotechnologies and nanomaterials, new trends in nanomaterials. 12. Perspective materials for energy and heating. 13. New material and technological trends in transport.

The course is focused on new material trends and technologies in the field of powder metallurgy, production of composite materials, nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. Furthermore, the course focuses on new High Technologies in the fields of metallurgical and mechanical engineering. New trends in materials and technologies in transport, energy and heating.
