Course content
1. Definition of basic concepts in the field of quality management 2. Main activities in the field of quality management in the production process 3. Overview of tools and methods of quality management in practice, basic division 4. Seven fundamental quality tools: tables and forms for direction of information, histogram, flow chart, scatter diagram, control chart, Pareto diagram, Ishikawa diagram 5. Seven management quality tools: affinity diagram, interrelationship diagram, systematic (tree) diagram, matrix diagram, matrix data analysis, PDPC diagram, network graph 6. Advanced quality management tools - designed for product quality planning (QFD - Quality Function Deployment, Risk Analysis, FMEA) 7. Design of Experiments (DOE) 8. Models for increasing the performance of organizations: Malcolm Baldrige (MBNA), EFQM model, BSC 9. Six Sigma method, Quality Journal method, 8D report 10. Japanese approach to quality management models Kaizen, Poka Yoke and others

Learning outcomes
Within the course Tools and methods of Quality management, students will gain knowledge about methods of data collection, appropriate methods of their sorting, processing and analysis. The methods are also used for planning and ensuring the quality of products in the design and production phase, in manufacturing companies to streamline production activities, cost savings, easier communication and activities associated with improvement processes.
