The course characterizes selected application areas in terms of used construction materials. In addition to the physical and chemical nature, the most commonly used types of materials, their basic characteristics, resp. mechanical and technological characteristics, with respect to specific operating conditions. Emphasis is put not only on their design applicability and technological possibilities, but especially the subject focuses on the process and tools for material selection, respectively. stages and components of the process of designing the material of a new product or device. Included are selected perspective materials designed for the construction of machinery and equipment, with particular emphasis on transport technology (vehicles and transport infrastructure), materials for energy (thermal and nuclear), respectively. of materials in electrical engineering.
