Learning outcomes
The subject is focused on explanation of development, physical substance and mechanisms of origin of these materials. Attention will be focused on perspective types of Fe-based alloys, their basic characteristics, microstructure, mechanical properties. Attention will be paid to the following steel categories: microalloyed steels, weldable steels with high yield strength, deep drawing steels, high strength steels, stainless steels, alloyed cast iron, sintered steels - low alloy, high alloy, biomaterials, metal glass.
