Course content
1. Kinematics of mechanisms - basics of DMU Kinematics environment. 2. Kinematic constraints, commands and laws for simulation of assembly movement, simulation of assembly movement. 3. Strength and stress analysis by finite element method - basics of Generative Structural Analysis. 4. Definition of material, limitation of possibilities of finite element analysis (FEM) in CATIA V5, generation of finite element networks. 5. FEM analysis - boundary conditions, 3D elements. 6. Postprocessing of FEM analysis results. 7. FEM analysis - bar and area elements. 8. FEM analysis - contacts. 9. FEM analysis - thermal stress. 10. FEM analysis - frequency analysis.

Learning outcomes
The course introduces other possibilities of using the CATIA V5 program. The aim of the course is to build on CATIA I, to expand knowledge about the possibility of simulations of motion of assemblies and the basics of stress and strength analysis.
