1. Classification of degradation processes 2. Permanent deformation of materials, 3. Fractures of materials: theoretical strength, the influence of defects, etc. 4. Fatigue: fatigue, static and dynamic fatigue 5. Creep 6. Materials wear: abrasion, adhesion, erosion, cavitation 7. Degradation of sudden changes of temperature, chemical decomposition at elevated temperatures. 8. Radiation degradation: degradation of polymers by UV radiation, radiation damage 9. Materials resistant to certain types of degradation

The course approaches the issue of degradation of materials and learn about the students with the classification of degradation processes, and the reasons for the emergence and their consequences. Student requires the orientation and information in this the field.
