11. Basic concepts of machining, machine tools and technology. Tool diagrams. Chip formation, deformation areas, area of ??primary plastic deformation. 2. Chip formation, area of ??secondary plastic deformation, area of ??contact of tool back and machined surface. Integrity of the machined surface. 3. Dynamics of the cutting process, determination of the size of the cutting force. Stability of the cutting process. 4. Heat and heat balance. Temperature field. Influence of cutting conditions and process parameters, cutting environment. Machinability and cutting ability. 5. Tool wear, blunting of the cutting edge, durability of the cutting edge, material of cutting tools. Optimal tool edge durability. 6. Determination of cutting conditions analytically and normatively. Economic determination of cutting conditions. Experiments in machining technology. 7. Material cutting and metal machining. Division and marking of machine tools, sorting, choice of machine tool. Choice of technology used. 8. Machining technology I. - turning, drilling, milling. Possibilities of machines, tools, jigs, cutting conditions, achieved parameters. 9. Machining technology II. - broaching, planing, shaping, drilling. Material division. 10. Finishing methods of machining. Metal grinding, honing, lapping, superfinishing, other finishing methods. 11. Unconventional machining methods and new methods. Erosive, electrochemical, chemical, laser, ultrasound, high speed machining, high removal machining, etc. 12. Production of threads and gears - spur and bevel gears, worm gears, wheels with curved teeth. Production processes. Creation of procedures, choice of alternative, methodology.

The course introduces the theory and individual technologies of machining, production processes, technology of machined parts. The aim of the course is to know the nature of the machining process and orientation in the dependencies of the process, the ability to objectively choose a particular technology, determining the cutting conditions
The student acquires knowledge of the essence of the machining process and is familiar with the dependencies of the process, is able to objectively choose a particular technology, determine the cutting conditions, knowledge of the assembly of technological and assembly procedures.
