The aim of the course is to deepen the knowledge of the progressive methods of volume and surface heat (TZ), respectively. chemical-heat treatment (ChTZ) of steels and non-ferrous metal alloys. After the initial recapitulation of the main types and methods of TZ / ChTZ, attention is paid to the physical and metallurgical nature of the phenomena in the heat treatment of metallic materials, with regard to the acting mechanisms affecting the resulting strength and technological properties. Students are acquainted with the classification and methods of thermal (chemical-thermal) treatment of steels and non-ferrous metals, as well as with the application of unconventional methods of heating and diffusion thermal processes. Following characterization of heat treatment of stainless steels, tool steels and selected special steels. The following describes the heat treatment of non-ferrous metals - changes in their properties by alloying and subsequent heat treatment, the principles of curing non-ferrous metals, respectively. aging processes. Further is mentioned thermomechanical processing, its essence, basic technological procedures and final properties. The conclusion is devoted to systems of technological process control, with emphasis on quality control in operations, as well as ecological aspects of used technologies.
