The main aim of the course in the field of casting is a comprehensive and detailed overview of the theory of casting of non-ferrous metals and steel. The course is focused on properties of molten alloys, refining and cleaning of metal alloys, processes of crystallization and segregation processes in foundry alloys, casting production procedures in terms of design rules, gating system and its calculations and areas of computer simulation in foundry. The mechanism and principle of melt inoculation and modification of Al alloys and cast iron are described. The main aim of the subject in the field of forming is a summary and description of metal forming from the perspective of the course of plastic deformation hot and cold, changes in structure and substructure of the material. Students will gain knowledge in the field of forming processes, changes of mechanical, physical, chemical and structural properties in forming, laws of plastic deformation, description of theory and changes in material in the field of bulk forming, description of factors influencing formability, technological conditions of forming and its influencing, The physical nature and conditions of plastic deformation formation, structure of solids, crystalline and amorphous substances, crystallographic lattices, Miller indices, lattice defects, dislocations, critical stress determination, dislocation density, Frank- Read source of dislocations, Orowan bend of anchored dislocations, etc.
