Course content
1. Al-based alloys for foundry and moulding - the parting of the Al-alloys and their marking, ways of technological elaboration, heat treatment - curing, utilization, characteristics and production. 2. Mg and Ti-based alloys - the parting, marking, meaning, utilization, characteristics and production. 3. Cu-based alloys - the parting, marking, meaning, utilization. 4. Comparing of characteristics of Fe, Al, Mg, Ti. 5. Unconventional materials - powdery and composite materials, powdery pigments etc. 6. Nanotechnologies - self-correcting materials, fullerens as basic building stone of nanotechnology, inteligent materials, characteristics and utilization. 7. Protection of surface - metal and non-metallic coating, organic coating from plastic materials and gum, cladding of sheetings, firing spattering, paints, corrosion inhibitors. 8. Definition and classification of polymers (plastic materials), polymer synthesis, chemical, physical and mechanical characteristics of polymers. 9. The survey of the most imortant plastic metals and their utilization, thermoplastics, reaktoplastics, elastomers. Technology of elaboration of structural polymers, areas of their utilization, characteristics of technology procedures, working and jointing of plastic materials. 10. Construction of wood - physical and mechanical characteristics of wood, dampness, thermal characteristics, electric and acoustic characteristics, hardness, stronghold and elasticity. Technologies of elaboration of wood,. Seasoning, working, correction, surface finishing of wood, basic and covering coating composition.
