Learning outcomes
The primary objective of this course is to deepen students' theoretical reflection on contemporary challenges within the concept of governance, with a specific focus on supranational governance in the European Union. The curriculum explores current methodological approaches to governance and examines selected concepts alongside the associated issues of democratic legitimacy and administrative efficiency. The course adopts an interdisciplinary approach, integrating legal and political science perspectives, which is reflected in the selection of literature and topics. At the outset, each participant will define a specific research objective to be developed throughout the seminar, providing a thematic lens through which to engage with the discussed topics. Full proficiency in the English language is a prerequisite for this course.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to apply a political science perspective to their specific research topics and identify interconnections between economic, sociological, and ethical dimensions of the subject matter.
