Brief course structure Introduction to the public economics and public services. Approaches of the economic theory to publicly provided services. Methods of social appraisal (MCA, CBA etc.) 4.? 6. Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to examine the role of the public sector in the economy, in particular the economic theories that attempt to explain government fiscal activities in public services. This will be studied using the following real-world case studies: 1) public transport services and infrastructure; 2) energy infrastructure, and 3) green and blue infrastructure and water management.

Seminar work (2-3 pages of text) based on a critical analysis of the given problem (zápočet). Oral exam - presentation and defense of the seminar work.
