Obsah předmětu
1.-3.: Introduction and research design. Initial consultations to refine the thesis topic and check feasibility. Setting the semester timeline and identifying key literature. Agreed work plan and specific goals. 4.-6.: Methodology and theoretical framework. Drafting the theoretical background and selecting appropriate research methods. Designing data collection tools (questionnaires/scripts). Approval of methodology and instruments. 7.-9.: Data collection and preliminary analysis. Execution of research, data gathering, and initial processing. Addressing any obstacles encountered during fieldwork. Review of collected data and preliminary findings. 10.-12.: Structuring and writing the analysis. Interpreting results and drafting the analytical chapters with a focus on logical structure and academic standards. Feedback on the analytical section draft. 13.: Final review and future directions Overall review of written drafts and assessment of progress made. Planning for thesis completion after returning to the home university. Final assessment and recommendations.

Výstupy z učení
This course is designed for incoming master´s degree students participating in international mobility programmes at the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies. The main aim of the course is to support students in the systematic development of their master´s thesis during their study stay at the faculty. The course focuses on individual work related to the student´s master´s thesis. The emphasis is placed on the application of appropriate research methods, the development of a clear thesis structure, and steady progress in analysis and writing. A key component of the course is regular individual consultations with an assigned academic supervisor from the faculty. These consultations provide guidance, feedback, and support to ensure continuous progress in the preparation of the master´s thesis.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: - independently work on a master?s thesis at an appropriate academic level, - apply relevant research methods and approaches in the preparation of the thesis, - reflect on feedback provided by the supervisor and incorporate it into the thesis, - demonstrate measurable progress in the development of the master?s thesis.

Students are required to work regularly on their master´s thesis and to participate in scheduled consultations with the assigned supervisor at the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies.
