This course is designed for incoming PhD students participating in international mobility programmes at the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies. The main aim of the course is to support students in the advanced stage of their doctoral research and in the systematic development of their PhD thesis. The course focuses on individual research work related to the student´s doctoral dissertation. Emphasis is placed on refining the research design, developing theoretical and methodological frameworks, and progressing with data analysis or writing, depending on the stage of the dissertation. A core component of the course is regular individual consultations with an assigned supervisor from the faculty. Through these consultations, students receive continuous academic guidance, feedback, and support to ensure meaningful progress in their doctoral research.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: - independently conduct advanced doctoral-level research related to their PhD thesis, - critically reflect on their research design, methodology, and theoretical background, - effectively incorporate supervisor feedback into the development of their dissertation, - demonstrate measurable progress in the preparation of their PhD thesis. |

Students are required to engage in regular independent work on their PhD thesis and to participate in scheduled consultations with the assigned supervisor at the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies.
