Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the most frequent manifestations of ethical violations in scientific research in the humanities and social sciences, especially publication ethics. The aim is to increase students' sensitivity to violations of publication ethics and thus contribute to the cultivation of the publishing environment within the study. In the first phase of the tutorial, the focus will be on the reasons that lead researchers to violate publication ethics (emphasis is placed on the context of the current system of funding and evaluation of science and research). In the second phase of the tutorial, the most frequently reported manifestations of publication malpractice are then discussed.
The student understands the main parameters of the ethics of scientific work. The student knows how to cite correctly, distinguishes between citation and paraphrase. The student is aware of the pitfalls of recycling texts, reciprocal citation and attribution of co-authors.
