Learning outcomes
In the second term, students will get acquainted with the most important events in the development of nationalism after World War II and the contemporary forms of nationalism. The course will be focused on the issue of national and European identity.
Students will gain comprehensive theoretical and methodological knowledge on the development of European nationalism after World War II, especially in relation to European integration. They will get an overview of the development of national identities in the European Union and its neighbors. They will acquire the ability to assess the relation between national identity and nationalism in relation to the development of democracy and liberal state.

Students will prepare 6 - 8 pages of seminar paper. The topic has to be approved by the lecturer in advance.
