Historical, cultural and social conditions of the origin of Czech political thinking in the 18th century (enlightenment, romance, liberalism) and in the 19th century (Kant, Hegel, positivism, Marxism) 2. Enlightenment and romanticism, language and nation in Czech political thought Dobrovský, Bolzano, Palacký, Havlíček 3. Masaryk's Czech and social question: Suicide, crisis of modern man and modern age; nation, nationalism, political program 4. Masaryk: Russia, Europe, humanity democracy, democratic republic 5. Pekař's critique of Masaryk's philosophy of Czech history, dispute and discussion about the meaning of Czech history 6. Rádl's theory of science and philosophy of history 7. Rádl's critique of nationalism and the concept of democracy 8. Komárková: Origin and importance of human rights 9. Patočka's critique of Masaryk and philosophy of history and conception of Czechism 10. Critical reform Marxism of the 1960s (Machovec, Kosík, Gardavský) 11. Charter 77: Patocka, Komarkova, Hejdanek, Havel 12. Hejdánek's conception of truth and democracy, Kohák's Czech philosophy, criticism of Radl and Patočka. 13.
